Let me just start out by saying, I've never really liked writing. So why am I writing a blog? I honestly don't know. Call it a random spurt of inspiration if you like, but just the other day I had a sudden urge to start one. I feel as though I'll find this more enjoyable than my previous experiences with writing. I've never really had a place where I could write and really express myself, so this is for all of you who wouldn't say no to a little insight into the life of Laura.
As of right now, only one new thing of any significance is happening. Kiwi. Yes, kiwi. I have rediscovered my love of kiwi thanks to the wonderful ladies of the CCCHS kitchen staff. In a never-ending world of apples and bananas, these kiwis have reawakened my love for fruit. School lunches have always been a little questionable in my opinion, but the cafeteria has successfully redeemed itself with the introduction of this wonderful fruit to the salad bar. So here's a hearty congratulations, ladies.
I know this wasn't the most exciting post, but it's a start. I really just wanted to get something out there and introduce myself. So while yes, kiwis are very exciting, you can expect something a bit more relevant to my life in the future. I've got big plans and big dreams, so stay tuned!
Life moves fast without a doubt, So what's it really all about? Living for the one true King, Behold He brings about new things.
Sometimes I feel as though life is moving too fast, changing too much, and I just want to hold on to the here and now. At the same time I'm excited about the future and where God is leading me. I've found that the constant struggle between looking forward and looking back can be stressful. Of course, there's a simple solution for this. The namesake of this blog is Isaiah 43:18-19: "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?" I've found great comfort in this verse during my currently hectic life. So I created this blog to write about my busy life, what's new, what's to come, and how God is speaking to me.
